Essential Functions:
Candidate will provide daily maintenance,
tuning, troubleshooting, configuration,
and management of Microsoft SQL Server
databases in a Microsoft Windows Server
Environment. Candidate will be able to
install and configure database instances.
Candidate will also be managing data archiving
processes and migration to new releases.
Essential Knowledge:
Deep Knowledge of relational database
technology, to include:
Database refreshes
Workload analysis
Replication
Trouble-shooting problems
Database-relevant security techniques
Applying patches and upgrade packages
Maintaining backup policies and Perform
routine Backups
Essential Education:
B.Sc. In Computer Science or related subject
Appropriate Certification a must
Essential Skills:
Candidate must also have the capability
to interface with technical in development
and support units. Technical competence
in the areas listed above and excellent
communication skills are required.
Candidate should have five years of related
technical experience in an operational
environment. Security experience desirable.
